SEATED MASSAGE

Photo essay. The seated massage is a highly choreographed routine working on pressure points on the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and back. The practitioner will work 15 to 20 minutes in a set sequence, applying pressure to the acupressure points, or tsubos, thus allowing stagnant or overactive Energy to flow along the meridians and allow the client to become more balanced. It will help to improve the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems whilst, at the same time, reducing blood pressure. It takes place with the client seated on a specially designed ergonomic chair and is one of the few therapies to offer a fully clothed massage without the use of oils or lotions, making it a quick and effective treatment in the workplace.
