These pictures were taken in 2013-14. They are all from the tiny island of Providence, population about 5000. The islanders are English speakers, though most also speak Spanish. Providence was one of England's first colonies in the Caribbean, but the colony only survived for 10 years. It was also a hideout for the pirate Henry Morgan.
