Inner courtyard of the Czernin Palace (Černínský palác) where the body of the Foreign Minister of Czechoslovakia Jan Masaryk was found in Hradčany district in Prague, Czech Republic. The Czernin Palace served as the official residence of the Foreign Minister of Czechoslovakia. On 10 March 1948, Jan Masaryk was found dead under the window of the bathroom of his flat. He probably committed suicide by jumping out of the window or was murdered by the Communist authorities. The black commemorative plaque in the background marks the place where the body was found.
