The Orb & Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross, 1953. The Orb is a representation of the sovereign's power. It symbolises the Christian world with its cross mounted on a globe. The Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross is one of two gold sceptres made in 1661 as part of the coronation regalia of the United Kingdom. In 1910, it was redesigned to incorporate Cullinan I, also known as the Great Star of Africa, which is the largest clear cut diamond in the world. Both are part of the Coronation Regalia of the United Kingdom.
