Blooms profusely. Hardy in Savannah. A-Dernrrens—With winged ramifications and slightly pubescent while young, foliage with 10 to 14 pairs of leaflets, flowers yellow in axillary bunches. A-larnesiana (Popinac)—A wall-known and popular variety, branches thorny, foliage with minute leaflets, flowers in round yellow balls, very fragrant. Profuse bloomer. *A-Lophantha—Height 10 to 15 feet, foliage bi-pinnate, flowers small, sulphur yellow in elongated heads, slightly fragrant. *A-Lophanlha Neumann—A sub variety of the above, with flowers varying from pale to deep red. *A-Speeiosa, A-Superba, and A-Nana Com- pact a, are sub-varieties of A-Lophantha. ; AGATE (Century Plant).
