Marrakech is close to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, North Africa. With many French influences, including langugage, architechture and wine it is also known as the Red City. It has the largest public market, souk, in Africa. Each evening the Djemaa El Fnr square transforms from an open space to a morass of food stalls selling to the local people and numerous tourists that flock to the area.
