Looking NW at entrance to burial chamber of Lligwy Neolithic tomb with its massive limestone capstone ( x x over 1m thick & tonnes) propped up on 8 low stones. Unburnt bones of men, women & children were found in two groups in the partly rock-cut chamber separated by paving. Pottery fragments, animal bones, flint implements, shells & a bone pin were also found in the 1909 excavations.
