Served in the Indian Mutiny campaign of 1857-59, and commanded the 2nd Cavalry Column, Malwa Division,in various operations in Central India and in pursuit of the rebel forces under Tantia Topee and the Rao Sahib,who were attacked and defeated with great loss at Zerapore on 29th December 185S by the 2nd Cavalry Column(Colonel, CB., and Medal). 2 Drew served with a wing of the 7th Hussars, comprising part of
