Alaska Air National Guardsmen from the 176th Wing’s 212th Rescue Squadron ready equipment inside an AKANG HC-130J Combat King II aircraft from the 211th RSQ during a flight from Naval Air Station Oceana, Va., to Kinston, , Sept. 16, 2018, to assist in response to hurricane relief operations. The 212th pararescuemen are coordinating with local authorities to rescue isolated flood survivors and conducting site surveys for disaster relief centers via a California ANG 129th Rescue Wing HH-60 Pavehawk helicopter crewed by members of the ANG’s 210th RSQ.
