The large ornamental octagonal pool with flowering lily pads within Venus Vale, with the statue of Venus atop the upper cascade in the background, Rousham House gardens, Oxfordshire. The gardens at Rousham were created by William Kent (1685-1748) and are a fine example of early English landscape design and remain much as he left them.
