Among the most pleasing developments of the last few yearshas been the desire upon part of pupils as well as teachers to dec-orate the walls of the school rooms and corridors with good pic-. Report of Public Schools, Fort Wayne, Ind. tures and casts. These have all been purchased by contributionsfrom the pupils and the proceeds of entertainments. These pic-tures and casts become the property of the respective schools andas they shall be added to from year to year it will be but a few yearsuntil the school house walls instead of their former bleakness andbareness will present the appearance of walls of well appointedresidences. The Womans Club League has been an important factor inthe development of this spirit. The league kindly provided a num-ber of good pictures for the schools to^ be transferred from one build-ing to another and in this w^ay to become an educational factor inthe lives of all the pupils of the public schools. The thanks of theschools are due to the members of the league for their interest inand care for the higher
