Long-exposure photography and subtle colour shifts transform this view of the blurred surface of Andorra’s fast-flowing Valira del Nord, which rises high in the eastern Pyrenees and joins the Gran Valira, the Principality’s largest river. View of the riverbed by the Pont d’Ordino or Pont de l’Estarell, an ancient humpback bridge just north of Llorts in the Ordino Valley.

Llorts, Ordino Valley, Andorra: long-exposure photography and digital manipulation subtly transform the appearance of a Pyrenean river as it ripples over rocks and pebbles below the Pont de l’Estarell or Pont d’Ordino, a 15th century, single-arch humpback bridge moved here in 1980, stone by stone, to be rebuilt in a new location. The bridge spans the Valira del Nord, which rises high in the Eastern Pyrenees and is a tributary of Andorra’s main river, the Gran Valira.
