SUSSEX This breed was represented by five classes with 21entries, but very good quality was displayed in themajority of oases. The Herd Book Society gave£20 towards the prize money, also two champion sil-ver medals for bull and cow or heifer. The premierbull was Lynwick Red Rover, the property of JamesGroves, of Blackboys, the get of Drungewick and Lynwick Rock Cherry. Mr. W. A. Thornton,of Partridge Green, was reserve with the impressiveLock Bean 6th. The other medal went to OakoverStonesdown 8th, the exhibit of Mr. Campbell. rhoto by] [Sport and Oct Capt. C. W, Cottrell-DormersLong-horn Bull. but not shown in too much condition. He ran thewinner very closely, and obtained reserve for thechampionship. Foel Samson, shown by Mr. O. ParryJones, was well worth third place, but he hadscarcely the exceptional quality and bone of thewinners. A very long one in Messrs. E. and Lammaston Marquis was reserve, andPenelly President, shown by Mr. William Griffiths,was highly commended. Two-year-old males werenot in force. Here Lord Penrhyns Gunner ofPenrhyn won from Lord Sheffields Penrhos Car fed winner has a pleasing head and promise of .whilst the second prize taker has length and a nicehead, but is not so well ribbed as his opponent. A. Prytherchs Madryn Jester, a useful sort, «j isthird. Yearling bulls were disappointing in mrabcrs,but contained some good individuals. Carmel Jim, alengthy, symmetrical one shown by Mr. C. H.
