Minature mountain scene with bonsai, selective colour, Liu Yuan Classical Garden, Suzhou, China
The Liu Yuan Classical Garden (also called Lingering Garden) in Suzhou, are among the most famous gardens in China. The gardens and buildings, originally commissioned in 1593 are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this bonsai miniature mountain landscape the ivy growing on the back wall, in my opinion, took away from the details of this stunning little landscape, so I used selective colour to bring out the details in the rocks and small plants.
