The totalcost of the Church and school property is ^3,350, and thepresent debt ^500. The Church has helped to commence 76 WARRINGTON DISTRICT. Churches at Haydock, St. Helens and Sutton, and it alsocommenced the Church at Thatto Heath and it is now con-ducting a mission at Whiston. WEST LEIGH. This prosperous Mission Church owes its existence tothe united efforts of the Avenue Church and the Con-nexional Evangelistic Department. A tent mission con-ducted by R. B. Woods was attended with great success,and a temporary iron building provided by the Connexion. WEST LEIGH. soon became too small. The commodious Mission Hallshown in our illustration is in course of erection, and willafford enlarged opportunities for this vigorous Church. TYLDESLEY. This Church owes its beginning to the efforts of theAvenue Church, Leigh, who began a series of servicessixteen years ago. The first meeting place was a room,entered from the Market Place. The building of the chapelin Primrose Street gave larger opportunities, and not-withstanding many losses by removal the Church continuesto do a good and useful work. A good Sunday schoolgives promise of the future. Warrington district has now 13 Churches and two Missionstations, 700 members, 2,930 Sunday School scholars, 263teachers and officers, and property valued at ^22,700. MANCHESTER—HANOVER STREET.
