Sunset Beach, Fl. September 1, 2023, Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District Commander, Col. James Booth, and Lt. Amanda Warren return to beaches to assess the beaches of the South West Coast of Florida after Hurricane Idalia. The Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, sends out teams to conduct post-damage assessments on Federal projects. From there, project implementation reports are initiated to determine project eligibility for PL84-99 FCCE rehabilitation funding.
