Brigadier General Alan Lister from Indo-Pacific Command visited Vietnam Coast Guard ship CSB 8021 to welcome the crew to Hawaii and meet with its commanding officer, Commander Dang Le Son. The government gave the former Hamilton-class Coast Guard cutter to the Vietnam Coast Guard on Aug. 14, 2020. Having finished their training and outfitting, the crew is now sailing CSB 8021 from its former homeport in Seattle to Vietnam.
