Shankaranarayana, a form of Hari-Hara

Shankaranarayana, a form of Hari-Hara, stands in samabhanga on a lotus placed on a low dais. The right half of the figure is Shankara (a form of Shiva), carrying a mriga (gazelle) in his upper right hand with his lower right in abhaya mudra. A tiger skin is wound around his hips and an angavastra (shawl) is draped over his elbow. The left half of the figure is the blue-complexioned Narayana (a form of Vishnu). In his upper left hand is the shankha (conch) and his lower left hand rests on the gada (mace).
