A fine small-sword with cut-steel hilt, England(?), circa 1790 Hollow triangular thrusting blade with gilt etching over the remnants of over a blued background. Steel openwork hilt, partially blued and profusely set with facetted steel beads in imitation of brilliants (minimal damage). Somewhat shrunken wooden scabbard with grooved steel mountings and fragments of the leather cover. The chiselled iron belt hook has two leather suspension straps.
