Culture Fusion building Bradford. A state of the art youth centre. Won through competition, Bowman Rileys’ design was selected by a panel of young people as their preferred choice. Engagement from the outset with the young advisors set the tone for the collaborative approach taken throughout the design. The project comprised the transformation of a derelict warehouse building into a vibrant new youth centre by linking it with a new five storey extension. The existing building with its substantial timber frame and distinctive mansard roof has been renovated. The design responds to the historical significance of its former industrial site and provides a striking new building, which makes a significant contribution to the regeneration of the city centre.
