STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- Naval Special Warfare Group 4's Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School utilizes special warfare combatant-craft crewmen support in a simulated tactical insertion of international security forces participating in a field training exercise with the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, on facilities at the John C. Stennis Space Center. NSWG 4 has three commands located at Stennis Space Center: NAVSCIATTS, Special Boat Team 22 and Training Detachment Stennis. The training environment at Stennis Space Center offers military and law enforcement agencies one of the country’s few co-located venues for jungle, land and riverine training. NAVSCIATTS' Patrol Boat Light crews used in support of the WHINSEC exercise consisted of in-house instructors, special operations partner nation instructors from Belgium, Cameroon, Canada and France; and students participating in the international training command's second annual Lake Chad Basin Initiative from Cameroon, Chad and Niger. NAVSCIATTS is a Security Cooperation schoolhouse operating under Special Operations Command in support of Foreign Security Assistance and Geographic Combatant Commanders' Theater Security Cooperation priorities. The command offers 20 courses of instruction across the tactical, operational and strategic spectrums through in-resident and mobile training engagements. To date, NAVSCIATTS has trained with approximately 12,000 international security force professionals from 120 partner nations.
