Nervous system cancer cells. Fluorescent light micrograph of oligodendroglioma cells. Oligodendroglioma is a malignant (cancerous) tumour arising from oligodendrocytes. Oligodendrocytes are nerve cells that form the myelin sheath around neurons (nerve cells) in the central nervous system.
