The number of successive doses in the history of the culture is indicated by a designa- tion at the end of the curve, 2nd = 2 and 3rd = 3 doses. the female. The clearest demonstration of this pattern was obtained by plotting brood size against brood sequence for each individual female. A peak and subsequent decline is characteristic of records for all females surviving 15 days, the time usually required for voiding about five.
