Erupting Mount Tarawera on New Zealand's North Island created at 10 June 1886 the 17 kilometers long Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley. It is now the youngest geothermal ecosystem of the world with a wide variety of volcanic features like the Warbrick Terraces built up by silica-rich water. Der Ausbruch des Tarawera-Vulkans am 10. Juni 1886 schuf auf der Nordinsel Neuseelands das Waimangu-Vulkantal. Das ist das jüngste geothermale Ökosystem der Welt mit einer Reihe vulkanischer Erscheinungen wie die Warbrick-Terrassen, die aus Silikat-Ablagerungen bestehen.
