Fishermen catching salmon using a sweep net at a netting station on the River Tweed near Berwick-upon-Tweed. The young salmon are tagged before being released back into the river under a catch and release scheme which anglers and netters participate in during the early season. The Tweed Foundation are monitoring the stocks of the fish which are at critical levels and are threatened by drift netting operations off the coast of north-east England.
