Mike MacNicholl makes an opening speech to attendees during a groundbreaking ceremony at the Cliff Erosion Repair project site Jan. 19, 2018. The Cliff Erosion Repair project is a multiyear effort to stabilize 950 meters of shoreline encompassing the Naval Station Rota’s base housing area as a permanent solution to cliff erosion.
