Women demonstrate authentic costumes
Participants in the People's ethnographic ensemble "Kalyna" from the village Grechishkino Novoaydar district, Lugansk region Olga Smolyakova and Maria Grechishkina. Women demonstrate authentic costumes, unique to the residents of their village. In the late 17 th century during the Russian-Turkish war of the Cossacks took part in the hostilities came to a Turkish prison. They and their descendants have lived in Turkey for several decades. Children captured Cossacks managed to return to his homeland of their fathers only in 18 century. They came together with their wives and children. The village, which settled the former captives, was surrounded by Ukrainian villages. Therefore, residents of the village costumes have absorbed the traditions Don Cossacks, Turks and Ukrainians. This costume from 150 to 250 years. They are passed down from mother to eldest daughter during the wedding ceremony.
