171001-N-FP878-058 FASLANE, Scotland (Oct. 1, 2017) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) man the helm as the ship departs Faslane, Scotland, to participate in exercise Formidable Shield (FS) 2017. FS-17 is a 6th Fleet-led, Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO-conducted exercise which will improve allied interoperability in a live-fire integrated air and missile defense environment, using NATO command and control reporting structures.
