Staten Island, , Dec. 20, 2012 The Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) removes the remains of a home in Staten Island, NY, which floated off of its foundation during Hurricane Sandy, and settled in the middle of the street, blocking through traffic. Only the second floor and attic remain after the storm. FEMA's Public Assistance Program allows for debris removal from public property to eliminate health and safety hazards.
