Pods single, rich deep green, plump, broad, blunt; contain 7-8 large, tender peas of splendid quality. Seed of medium size, cream and green: 102 per oz. Length of pod inches 3^ Days 62 Wisconsin Early Sweet 28 2^ 59 An early, sweet, canning variety, similar to Surprise, resistant to Fusarium wilt. Plant medium green, slender. Pods single, light green, plump, blunt; contain 6-7 peas. Seed medium small, green. Wisconsin Merit 28 2>y2 72 Developed by Dr. E. J. Delwiche at the University of Wis- consin and released in 1939. Derived from Alaska, Horsford's Market Garden and Prizewinner; a canning variety somewhat of Perfection type. Plant medium green, pods blunt, slightly curved, with 7-8 large, medium green peas. WORLD'S RECORD 26 3 57 Of Gradus type, but earlier, and very uniform in maturing. Excellent for home garden and first early markets. Plant light green, medium heavy.
