A Pair of Steam Trains with Large Smoke Stacks designed to throw off the embers from burring wood to make steam disembarks for the West from the Hornellsville Erie Pennsylvania Train Station, a trunk line from NYC to Western states and the territories. The Erie Railroad (reporting mark ERIE) [1832-1960] was a railroad that operated in the northeastern United States, originally connecting New York City with Lake Erie. On October 17, 1960, the Erie merged with the former rival Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad to form the Erie Lackawanna Railroad.
