Highley, UK. 20th June, 2018. There is plenty of pulling and shunting at Severn Valley Railway's Highley Engine House station today. A major change-around sees many steam locomotives being shuffled back and forth to allow the 48773, which has not seen daylight for ten years, to be moved to Kidderminster station in readiness for the spectacular 1940's wartime event which is happening between 30th June and 8th July. Here we see the 48773 arriving at Kidderminster station for the first time in ten years. Credit: Lee Hudson/Alamy Live News

SVR's class 33 diesel locomotive arrives at Severn Valley Railway's Kidderminster station on Wed 20th June pulling the steam locomotive 48773 having just left The Engine House at Highley after a mammoth manoeuvre! Preparations for the 1940' special event are certainly well under way.
