A mother sea lion nursing her baby juvenile sea lion at Los Islotes, north of Isla Espiritu Santo, in the Sea of Cortez / Sea of Cortes off the coast of Baja Sur, Mexico. The sea lion colony at Los Islotes can be visited on a day boat trip from La Paz, Mexico, and many visitors take a tour to snorkel with the mother sea lions and their babies. Some of these boat trips from La Paz combine swimming with a whale shark and visiting the Sea Lions in winter months. The sea lion colony at Los Islotes is part of a protected UNESCO biosphere.
