This muscle rests upon thepubic bone and is covered by its fascia,—the pectineal fascia,—which is somewhatthickened immediately beneath Pouparts ligament, where it is known as the pubicligament of Cooper. It will be noticed that the femoral sheath is divided into threecompartments: the outer for the femoral artery; the middle for the femoral vein; theinner (CR) is the crural ring, the mouth of the crural canal.
