The Docks, Bristol, Great Britain.
For hundreds of years, Bristol Docks was one of Britain's busiest ports, trading around the world. With many of the wharves right in the city centre, this was really the commercial hub of the city. However, the docks ceased to function as a commercial port in any meaningful way in the 1970s, when ships simply became too big for such a small, shallow harbour. The port became derelict, but since the 1990s Bristol Docks has been resurrected as a leisure boating, restaurant and entertainment area, and is now a popular tourist attraction.
