Entrance to a long ice cave in Breidamerkurjokull, an outlet glacier of the Vatnajokull icecap in southeastern Iceland. Such ice caves or ice caverns are formed by subglacial meltwater streams but may be accessible during the cold season when hardly any water flows through them. Clear glacier ice typically looks blue when seen from underneath.
