Hurley Manor House, a former headquarters of OSS (Office of Strategic Services) Station Victor was a secret American spying network base during World War 11. The OSS is the forerunner of the American CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). Hurley Manor House is situated in Hurley village by the river Thames in Berkshire, Britain The other neighbouring properties within the grounds were also requisitioned by US Navy intelligence in 1943. It was transformed into a very secretive station for its 150 personnel. Even the local villagers were unaware of its real purpose, believing it just a radar station. Its main function was controlling its secret agents in the field on clandestine operations such as obtaining update intelligence on Hitler’s SS Panzer divisions, secret weapons and industrial war machine in Nazi-occupied Europe and within the German Reich Hurley Manor and the neighbouring houses are now privately owed.
