Newspaper stand in London distributing the free Polska Gazeta
Since Poland became a member of the enlarged European Union on 1 May 2004 the number of their citizens coming to Britain has increased dramatically. It is estimated that in 2005 more than 70,000 Polish citizens left Poland to work in Britain. The Polska Gazeta is aimed at these new immigrants. It is published only in the Polish language.
