Marines from the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, are seen crossing the Vu Gia River in Vietnam with support from amphibian tractors (AmTracs). The Marines had just defeated North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces 18 miles southwest of Da Nang. The AmTracs provided covering fire as the Marines advanced against the enemy.
