Tlie larva; of Musca Frit sometimes destroy the barley crops in Sweden, to the amount of 100,000 golden ducats in a year, being one-tenth of tlie produce. The larva; of Uscbits pianilionis and Uneata, Fab., are equally obno.\ious.
