Schaeffer and Steitz, tho proprietors, say when completed it will be the most modern retail establishment in the city. The Bergstermann Floral Co. has about completed all improvements at the South Grand avenue store. A new coat of white in the store and conservatory finished up the job. Messrs. Ruff and Niebling, the proprietors, say they are ready for the fall and winter season to open. Mrs. Julia Pelletier and daughters are spending the rest of the month visiting friends and relatives in Cleveland and other Ohio points. Mrs. Diemer and her son, Carl, are enjoying the cool breezes of the north- ern lakes. They are expected home September 15. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Weber, Sr., and their daughter, Mrs. R. Hammer, re- turned to their cottage in northern Michigan after the convention and will remain there until late in September. Mr. and Mrs. F. X. Gorly and Fred H. Weber and family will spend a week at northern summer resorts, visiting Chi- cago before returning home. Martin Seeger and Nathan Kingsley, heads of the Muilanphy Florists, at- tended their first S.
