Swiss alpine landscape. Hiker walking in summer over firn ice on a mountain trail. Firn is a type of ice left over from previous years that has reformed into a denser form at a stage between snow and glacial ice. This firn ice formed over a trail next to Lago Bianco (White Lake). Photographed in Robiei, Val Bavona, in the Basodino mountain range, Maggia Valley, Ticino, Switzerland.
