Daniel Ansley, son of John, was born inWestmoreland county in 1798, and followedfarming there until 1837, when he removed toIndiana county. He died in 1858, at the ageof sixty. James Ansley, son of Daniel, was bom in1825 and died Feb. 23, 1895. He was a far-mer throughout his active years, being ex-tensively engaged in general agriculture andstock raising in Rayne township, and was notonly a successful business man of his localitybut also active in public life, serving as jus-tice of the peace of his township and as audi-tor of Indiana county. He was a Republican.
