Giant Pacific octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) among rocks. This is the largest of all octopuses. The largest recorded specimen weighed over 180 kilograms and had an arm span of nearly ten metres. Octopuses have excellent vision, although they are colour blind. The giant Pacific octopus lives around the northern edge of the Pacific Rim. Photographed in the Sea of Japan.
