Rock-Cut Graves at St Patrick's Chapel, Heysham
6 Rock-Cut Graves at St Patrick's Chapel, Heysham. These are the ruins of a Medieval Chapel, now an English Heritage Grade 1 Listed Building and Scheduled Monument in the care of the National Trust. The Chapel was built in the 8th or 9th century from sandstone rubble. Excavations show that the site was occupied as many as 12000 years ago. Nearby are 6 Rock-Cut Graves and two Rock-Cut Tombs. The headland know as the Barrows is on Heysham Head on Morecambe Bay, Lancashire and is a predominate cliff on the Lancashire Coast.
