The interior of Cranshaws Church

The medieval church of "Craneshaues" was severely neglected after the Reformation of 1560, and in 1739 was superseded by a new parish church on the present site. This building was itself replaced by the present, charming Cranshaws Kirk in 1899. The church is built with door and windows in the Romanesque or Norman manner, recalling the former existence of a 12th century church.
