TOULON, France (May 17, 2016) A Sailor aboard USS Springfield (SSN 761) heaves a shot line as the submarine prepares to moor pier side during a scheduled port visit in Toulon, France. Springfield, a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine, homeported in Groton, Connecticut, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
