Drill instructors with Receiving Company, Support Battalion, welcome a new recruit with Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, to recruit training during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 29. Once the recruits stepped off the bus, they immediately began the transformation from civilian to Marine. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 25.
