BISSINGER ^^^Sn^r"? The Market. A general lassitude, peculiar to the season, affects the flower business just now. Funeral work was heavy last week in some of the shops and green- houses. Hospital work has been more general. Outside of these, business has been light. Greenhouses are being cleaned up, fall stock has been planted and vacations are the order of the day, after a year of hard and profitable work. Outdoor stock is in good shape. Gladioli are better than usual this sum- mer, owing to heavy dew every night; roses are soft, but even these hold up for shipping better than ordinarily. Various Notes. L. R.
