Yorkshire, UK. 11th May, 2017. UK Weather. Summer has come early to the famous Yorkshire Dales in England. Rivers are running low in the upper reaches of the River Wharfe in beautiful Wharfedale, N Yorkshire at a time when spring torrents normally fill rivers and tributaries. Sections of the Wharfe near Oughtershaw and Hubberholme, a favourite haunt of the writer J B Priestley, are showing exposed gravel and rockbeds not normally revealed until late June.
